Two young cats, one orange tabby with white face markings and white paws with orange eyes, the other a grey tabby with white face markings, a white belly and white front paws which looked like little mittens with bright green eyes. The orange tabby is called Luca, the grey tabby is called Freya. The two young cats started life in a cat sanctuary, surrounded by other cats they waited for someone to come and pick them. One day, a young girl and her mom visited the sanctuary, the manager showed them to the enclosure to see all the cats. Luca stepped towards the young girl, she could sense something different, that this young girl would be the right person to look after her. The young girl bent down and held out her hand to Luca, Luca stepped closer, reaching out her nose to sniff. Then rubbed her head against the young girls hand, the young girl looked into Lucas orange eyes and fell in love. Freya seeing Luca, then came forward too. Freya wasn't as confident as Luca but she trusted Lucas instincts. She brushed against Luca and then against the girls hand, arching her back as the gir gently stroked her back. This was the day that the young girl took Luca and Freya to their new life, their new home was a 2 acre garden, full of palms and tropical plants. It was a dream home, full of adventure.
This world is set in Hawaii, in a tropical and warm environment. Luca is the leader of the two, wherever Luca goes Freya will follow. Luca is strong, trusting and affectionate. Freya is more cautious but extremely affectionate once she trusts you. Both are 8 months old at the start of the story.
The house is at the centre of the 2 acre property, the house is a single floor layout, there are 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a study, a garage and the kitchen and living room are open plan. Surrounding the house is a large garden, there is a pool in the side garden, and the back garden is full of tropical plants and palms. The gate at the front of the property opens up to a long drive which leads up a small hill to the house, as you go up the drive to the right there is an orchard full of fruit trees (cherry, lychee, banana, lemon, lime, orange, avocado, pinapple, cinnamon). To the left of the drive there is a rocky landscape made up of large plates of lava rock with ohia trees, palms, and ferns growing.
The story shows the humble beginnings of two cats, their journey to their new home and the many adventures they go on when they arrive at their new home.
