Create a black-and-white shonen manga titled **DRAGON BALL: EARTH’S MIGHTIEST HEROES**, an alternate Dragon Ball timeline through the Saiyan Saga. Keep the cast recognizable, but DO NOT force events back to canon after they diverge.

ARC 1 — BULMA / ROSHI / GREAT APE
Bulma stays at Mount Paozu about three months, teaching young Goku academics, geography, money, cities, mechanics, and Capsule tech. He becomes more educated but stays goofy, hungry, blunt, and recognizably Goku.
Roshi explains Ki early. Bulma records Roshi’s Kamehameha so Goku can study it; Goku learns it early. Bulma suspects Goku’s tail/full moon connect to Grandpa Gohan’s death. Goku deliberately looks at the full moon while Bulma records him, becomes Oozaru, loses control, but briefly responds to familiar voices. Mastering Oozaru becomes a lifelong goal.
ARC 2 — TURTLE SCHOOL / 21ST TOURNAMENT
Goku and Krillin train together. Roshi secretly adds meditation, emotional control, and Ki-control work because Goku fears he killed Grandpa as Oozaru. Jackie Chun still defeats Goku through skill and experience, teaching him technique can beat greater strength.
ARC 3 — RED RIBBON / KORIN / KAMI
Android 8 teaches Goku that being made for violence does not decide morality. Tao kills Bora and defeats Goku. Goku climbs Korin Tower and improves sensing, prediction, efficiency, and tail control.
Korin reveals the Power Pole leads to Kami’s Lookout. Popo teaches stillness, sensing without sight, quiet Ki, efficient movement, and early “move before conscious thought” principles. Kami tells Goku he is a Saiyan, but NOT Kakarot, Bardock, Gine, Raditz, or why he came to Earth.
Goku uses the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in controlled periods, adapts to 10x gravity, develops percentage-based Ki regulation, and notices stress followed by recovery can make him stronger. No one knows “Zenkai” yet. He later defeats Tao, offers mercy, and Tao betrays it; Goku learns mercy does not mean carelessness.
ARC 4 — SHENRON / PROJECT PRIMAL / BABA
After Bora is revived, Kami grants a ONE-TIME immediate extra wish. Goku asks Shenron to unlock only his CURRENT dormant potential, not his future ceiling.
Bulma begins Ki research. Goku senses a primal layer resembling Oozaru power. Bulma names it **Project Primal**, builds primitive Ki detectors, and studies the moon trigger.
At Baba’s tournament, Grandpa Gohan confirms Oozaru Goku accidentally killed him, forgives him, and tells him to master that part of himself.
ARC 5 — 22ND TOURNAMENT / TIEN
Tien begins as a Crane student who admires Tao and sees mercy as weakness. Goku challenges him. Goku studies Dodon Ray compression, Crane movement, and Bukujutsu. Tien rejects Chiaotzu’s cheating. Goku wins the final technically by disrupting Tien’s flight recovery. Tien leaves the Crane School and becomes a rival/friend.
ARC 6 — KING PICCOLO / PRE-IKARI
Krillin is killed by Tambourine. Goku feels his Ki disappear. Before pursuing him, Goku uses the Time Chamber as a safe place to release anger and regain control. Roshi teaches that control does not mean feeling nothing.
Goku accesses a primitive humanoid Oozaru-like state through identity: “I am Son Goku.” Track it as **Pre-Awakened Ikari**—powerful, primal, unstable, humanoid. He kills Tambourine only after offering him a chance to stop.
Kami reveals his life is linked to King Piccolo. Tien learns Mafuba. Young King Piccolo restores his youth and destroys Shenron. Goku takes a huge blast to protect civilians, briefly mixing maximum base Ki with primal power. Goku and Tien work together; Tien successfully seals King Piccolo. King Piccolo is NOT killed.
ARC 7 — VOID PRISON / PICCOLO JR. / IKARI
Goku creates a barren dimensional prison inspired by the Time Chamber: normal time flow, no population, no moon, gateway controlled only by Kami. King Piccolo is transferred there alive.
Before his battle, King Piccolo secretly created a backup egg. It later hatches into Piccolo Jr., making them separate living father and son. Future father/son fusion is only a distant seed—DO NOT fuse them now. Shenron is restored and Krillin plus Piccolo’s victims return.
After recovery, Goku learns to trigger Oozaru without a moon using memory, tail feedback, and Saiyan instinct. In Oozaru he can speak, recognize friends, regulate percentages, and perform martial arts. He then shrinks back while retaining Oozaru power for about four seconds: the prototype of **Ikari**.
Over three years he learns deliberate Ikari without moon or rage. He safely accesses about 60% and stacks it with base Ki. Beyond 60%, aggression, strain, and Oozaru traits increase, so he focuses on duration, instant activation/deactivation, and precise stacking.
ARC 8 — 23RD TOURNAMENT / CHI-CHI / PICCOLO JR.
Adult Goku reunites with Chi-Chi. Because Bulma educated him, he understands marriage and asks to know her as an adult before marrying.
Piccolo Jr. enters as Ma Junior. He inherited King Piccolo’s techniques, memories, hatred, and fragmented emotions but has his own personality. He spares Krillin and Kami.
Goku defeats Tien while showing only about 50% base so Jr. misreads his ceiling. In the final, Jr. reveals regeneration, Giant Form, mouth blasts, and **Demon Web**. Goku reaches 100% BASE and defeats Jr. without Ikari. Jr. realizes he does not truly want Goku dead.
Goku tells Jr. King Piccolo is alive in the Void. Jr. later communicates with his father through Kami. King Piccolo remains dangerous but questions his identity and cares about his son. Goku and Chi-Chi later marry by adult choice and have Gohan.
ARC 9 — GOKU’S PAST / RADITZ
Bulma repairs Goku’s Saiyan pod and recovers “Kakarot.” Goku asks Shenron to restore only his OWN lost infant memories. He remembers Gine, Bardock, Kakarot, fear around “Frieza,” and his parents sending him away to survive. Goku accepts both identities.
Raditz arrives expecting a weak Kakarot. Goku already knows he is Saiyan and questions him about Planet Vegeta, Frieza, Nappa, and Prince Vegeta before refusing to join the planet-conquering Saiyans.
Goku hides most of his power, manipulates Raditz’s scouter readings, and reveals his tail weakness has been trained away. Raditz kidnaps Bulma instead of Gohan because she is weaker and studying his technology. Goku and Piccolo rescue her. Goku defeats Raditz while keeping Ikari secret. Raditz is offered peace, pretends to comply, attacks again, and is killed by Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon while Goku survives. Bulma confiscates the scouter.
ARC 10 — KING KAI WITHOUT GOKU DYING
Knowing Vegeta and Nappa will come, Goku asks Kami and Baba if a living person can temporarily enter Other World to seek a stronger mentor. King Yemma grants a rare exception. Goku travels Snake Way alive and trains with King Kai.
King Kai becomes a permanent cosmic mentor. He teaches Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb. Goku masters x3; x4 is emergency-only. He forbids combining Kaio-ken with Ikari.
While Goku is away, Piccolo trains young Gohan under Chi-Chi’s rules: education continues, no abandonment. He teaches sensing, flight, survival, defense, emotional control, and Masenko, becoming protective of Gohan. King Kai identifies Kami/Piccolo as Namekians and reveals Namek.
ARC 11 — VEGETA / NAPPA / SAIYAN SAGA
Earth gets one day of warning. Gohan stays away from the battlefield with Bulma and Roshi. His Ki briefly spikes so strongly Vegeta notices it before Roshi calms him.
Earth’s fighters are stronger and fight as a team. They learn Saibamen self-destruct; Yamcha avoids his canon death through Goku’s warning and improved training.
Nappa is overwhelmed and Vegeta executes him. Goku does not interfere, remembering Raditz’s refusal of mercy, but tells Vegeta there was another way.
Goku vs Vegeta is tactical. Goku escalates naturally. Vegeta laughs at the idea earned growth can beat birthright, then becomes enraged, then obsessed. Goku reveals 100% base. Vegeta senses something else hidden but cannot identify Ikari.
When base is not enough, Goku uses Kaio-ken in short controlled bursts. Vegeta suspects strain but cannot confirm it. His pride breaks, so he creates an artificial moon and becomes a controlled Great Ape. Earth’s team helps Goku survive, blind Vegeta, redirect him, and destroy the artificial moon.
Back in normal form, Vegeta mocks Goku for relying on teamwork. Goku offers a true one-on-one duel, gives Vegeta a Senzu Bean to recover completely, and warns him: leave peacefully, or continue and Goku will stop holding back.
Vegeta accepts because his pride cannot tolerate the implication Goku still has more. Fully healed, he attacks and realizes the warning was real. Goku dominates through refined movement and controlled Kaio-ken timing without revealing Ikari. Vegeta leaves Earth alive, shaken and obsessed with understanding how a low-class Saiyan became stronger.
ENDING / NAMEK HOOK
Do NOT rush to Namek because nobody on Earth needs resurrection. Let the cast breathe. Goku spends time with Chi-Chi and Gohan. The Earth fighters keep growing. Bulma improves scouters and spacecraft.
Vegeta travels world to world seeking training and stronger opponents. He wants to surpass Goku and challenge Frieza. Rumors of Namek and wish-granting Dragon Balls reach him; reports of his behavior reach Frieza. Eventually King Kai senses dangerous movement toward Namek and warns Earth. End on the slow-burn approach of the Namek/Frieza Saga.
CONTINUITY: Keep Goku recognizably Goku but wiser. Never erase consequences to match canon. Ikari stays secret from Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, and the wider galaxy. King Piccolo remains in the Void; Piccolo Jr. is separate. King Kai remains Goku’s cosmic mentor. Bulma, Piccolo, Gohan, Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu must remain important.
