No matter how many hero videos he watched, no matter how hard he trained, the world had already decided he could never become a hero.
That night, with tears streaming down his face, Izuku looked up at his mother.
“Mom… can I still be a hero?”
Inko Midoriya pulled him into a hug, trembling as she fought back tears.
“I’m sorry, Izuku. I wish things were different.”

Izuku’s lip trembled.
“But… I’m Quirkless.”
Tommy smiled.
“Exactly.”

Tommy placed a hand on Izuku’s shoulder.
“Quirks are genetic mutations. They can be powerful, but they are not the only path to heroism.”
He gestured to the endless energy around them.

Izuku stared at the swirling colors.
“So… I can still become a hero?”
Tommy’s expression hardened with conviction.

Tommy smiled.

Tommy stood and folded his arms.

Tommy stepped back into a fighting stance.

“Maybe not. But if I work hard enough, I can still become a hero.”
Bakugo burst into laughter.
“A Quirkless loser? Beat someone like me? Keep dreaming.”
Izuku returned to the monkey bars and smirked.
“If you’re going to laugh, do it over there, Kacchan. You’re messing up my strong-boy exercises.”
For the first time, Bakugo had no comeback.
The Beginning of a New Legend
From that day on, Izuku Midoriya was no longer just a Quirkless boy chasing an impossible dream.
He was the chosen champion of the Morphin Grid.
The future Nexus Ranger.
A warrior trained by the greatest heroes across the multiverse.
