A dark fantasy world where magical power determines everyone's social status. Kage Arashi, a 17-year-old boy with jet-black spiky hair and calm gray eyes, is a student at a magic academy who has always been mocked as "powerless" because the power-measuring crystal has never once responded to him. His only close friend is Yuki Hanase, a cheerful, kind-hearted girl with short silver-white hair who is the only one who has never looked down on him.
In truth, Kage is the reincarnation of the God-King of Lightning and Fate, the most powerful deity in legend, who sealed himself into a human body a thousand years ago to escape a catastrophic war among gods. His true power lies dormant, deeply sealed within his mind, unknown even to himself.
The story begins on an ordinary morning at the academy, where Kage is publicly ridiculed by a group of students for having zero power. He silently endures the humiliation, with only Yuki there to comfort him and believe in him. The two sit together under a tree during lunch, sharing a warm, comforting moment — until the sky suddenly darkens unnaturally and alarm bells ring out across the academy.
An army of demons led by Goldfang, the Demon King — a massive iron-skinned beast with golden fangs — breaks through the academy's walls and launches a merciless assault on the students. Kage briefly reveals his true identity amid the battlefield, declaring that he is the one who has slept for a thousand years and has now awakened. He then charges into the demon army at superhuman speed, unleashing waves of lightning that annihilate lesser demons one after another, leaving the watching students stunned — no one can believe that the boy once called "powerless" has become the most powerful being of all.
The climax is a one-on-one clash between Kage and Goldfang high in the sky. The Demon King unleashes his full power in challenge, but Kage responds with his ultimate technique, "Lightning of the Fated God-King," engulfing the entire sky in golden light in the most spectacular and powerful battle sequence of the chapter. Goldfang is utterly defeated, and the remaining demon army retreats in fear.
As the battle's smoke and light fade, Kage stands calmly amid the ruins. Yuki runs to embrace him with joy and pride. Commander Zenon, the academy's headmaster who had secretly known Kage's true identity all along, approaches for a private conversation, hinting that Kage's awakening will alert the other gods of legend to his existence — signaling that this is only the beginning of a much greater story to come.
The overall tone is shonen-style: intense, thrilling, and built around a dramatic power reveal that turns a once-mocked outcast into the most powerful being alive.
