A 1960s black and white style zombie story where the protagonist is the zombie. The story is about getting home after crawling out of his grave the zombie has vague memories remnants of his past. His name was Sam. He worked with his hands at miller's garage. He promised to come home. He died three streets away from home. Home lay beyond the country road. On his way back home his need for feed takes over and he must hunt and eat but this very act will mutate him losing memories. When he loses a body part a memory is lost with it. He finally arrives home the journey has him kill and eat twice. The mutations costing him memory and increasing his hunger. His chest is all but done hanging open from a shotgun wound another memory lost. She stands there on the porch in recognition of him now before her. But he's too far gone. And lunges. End
