Trained assasins tried to kidnap Princess Hannah of Egypt.
Fortunately, the princess was trained in combat, so she knew how to defend herself.
Though the Captain of the Guard, Zane could have done better and prevented the assasins from coming into the palace in the first place.
"Princess, my apologizes for not guarding the perimeter right," the Captain of the Guard began. "I will be more through next time."
"You have nothing to apologize for, Zane," said Hannah. "After all, you were the one who taught me how to use a sword, ever since I was seven."
Zane nodded, but he had to correct Hannah. "Hannah, don't you forget, I am either Captain, or Captain Zane. You know how your father, the Pharoah is strict on formality."
A smile was on her face as she lightly scoffed. "Zane, we knew each other for a long time. It's not like we're strangers. We trained together in combat ever since I was a little girl, and you still want to act like we're in court, no matter where we are?"
Zane breathed. "I cannot feel that way about you, Hannah...!"
The air got tense. The smile on the princess's face disappeared.
It was that obvious Hannah had feelings for Zane.
"I am a solider, you are a princess. There is no way your father will allow us to be together."
She walked closer to him. "I've seen the way you held off the assasin. How you looked worried when I couldn't reach for my sword."
Zane's eyes widen and he looked away.
"You just don't care about me as a protector. It's more than that. You feel something for me, do you."
They made a great team, and now he just wants to throw it all away.
She breathed. "You mean everything to me, and more."
She reached for his face and kissed him. A gentle force from his lips came back to her, but he parted away.
"Goodnight, princess..."
She pressed her fingers on her lips. He kissed her back. That had to mean something.
As he walked away from her, he may as well threw everything between them away.
