In the rain-slicked sprawl of Neo-Saitama, memories are the only currency that hasn't been devalued. The city is a neon graveyard of chrome and circuitry, governed by the "Noirpulse"—a bio-digital signal that keeps the populace in a state of artificial euphoria. Enter Kaelen, a "Ghost-Walker" who survives by illegally extracting traumatic memories from the elite to sell to the underground. When he accidentally downloads a memory of a murder committed by a corporate deity, he becomes a target for the city’s most lethal "Afterglow" hunters. This is a story of identity, the price of truth, and the ghosts that live within the machines.
