A young woman who’s lived in the big advanced, open-minded city where she explored herself, returns home to find that no one has evolved. Everyone and everything is exactly as she remember. The bullies rule the roost and no one else has a back-bone.
She wears modern sleek clothes and has unconventionally colored hair in a long funky modern assymetrical pixie hairstyle. It’s clear that she is cutting edge. She’s smart, quick-witted, and she’s not easy to fool. She’s constantly looking for the latest thing to capture her attention because she’s annoyed at tradition. We’ll call her “Cye”.
She is with her friend Kate, who is wearing conservative attire that are based on shame. She has a boring hairstyle that is all the rage in her conservative boring peer group.
She innocent because her family has controlled every bit of information she can access so she doesn’t know anything about the world. Kate feels safe in the world.
They meet at a park.
The first panel shows the two characters coming together. One comes in from the left; the other comes in from the right. It’s obvious that it’s a park they’re meeting in. The background is filled with tall trees, maybe a pond. A park bench awaits them.
The second panels shows Cye complaining that the town is so narrow-minded, and speaking with her hands, while Kathy listens with curiosity.
The third panel shows Kathy suggesting that Cye might have a bit of an attitude problem citing that it really isn’t that bad in their small town. “They have big box stores and a yearly pride parade!” She has no idea what her friends problem is.
