The continent never recovered from the fires — it adapted to them. Ash hangs alive in the air, the sky never clears back to blue, and reliability itself has become the scarcest resource. Into the ruin steps Sylph: samurai-armored, dark-winged, silver blade drawn for a war that isn't about territory but about whose systems get to be trusted — vow-bound magic, or engineered mechanisms built by a necromancer-turned-pirate-captain who animates steam and steel into a raiding fleet that never stops.
